Decorating Apartment For Fall/winter Season?

I rent the apartment, so I can 't really the color of Hands W? And I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to survive the winter with this horrible color?. How Can I Decorate A Basement Apartment?

Add to my efforts, we have wooden walls in all but the bathroom and the kitchen! Since we rented this flat with a budget, major renovations are in most cases, no doubt. Any clear idea of how to organize and / in a place decorated? It 's sort of gray-brown and dark.
